Developing Client-centric GREEN Promotional Material

This presentation focuses on selling value to clients through the research, development, writing, design, and production of all forms of GREEN promotional material from Announcements to Web Sites. After a brief look at how winning material has evolved, participants will learn how to construct a Promotional Material Master Plan for the development and coordination of their own pieces, and receive Evaluation Criteria Forms to evaluate their own material.

Specific advice from clients will be shared as to what they value most in each specific piece, such as: announcements, direct mail pieces, newsletters, brochures, special events and promotions, and web sites. Participants will leave with the tools to evaluate their own designs, make them more client-centric, and learn how to master the GREEN process within the firm. 

Winning Tips From Client Selection Committees

A/E/C projects involving the general public are played out in the arena of public forums today unlike any time in the past. Many have opened their previously  sequestered selection procedures and deliberations to public scrutiny. Many have allowed recording and videotaping of these public-attended forums.

This program features carefully edited video-clips of public forum client selection committee deliberations. Participants will hear and see discussions of clients in project deliberations, telling what they consider vital when presenting your firm to them, and what makes a winner. Clients tell what to present, how to present it, who they want to hear from and who they don’t, how to open and close a presentation, and many more eye-opening comments. The videotape clips of the client selection committee deliberations are juxtaposed with videotape clips from the actual presentations for added impact and credibility. It doesn’t get any closer to reality than this. In addition to the surveys and criteria discussions, audience comments, questions, and shared presentation successes and horror stories are encouraged throughout the program

The workshop has been presented nationwide, and was attended by architectural and engineering firms, general contracting companies, and construction managers.
