Michelle Silverthorn

Change the Rules, Change the World:  How to Lead an Antiracist Workplace

“What is your why?” With that question to leaders, Michelle talks about her journey to anti-racism and why leaders at every level need to discover their “why” to launch their commitment to change. Following the path of a BIPOC employee in the workplace, we will outline the barriers that exist inside and outside the workplace to inhibit their success, and how leaders must answer the hard questions on race in America to become true allies for equity and justice.

Michelle Silverthorn is a recognized expert in organizational inclusion, and the Founder & CEO of Inclusion Nation.  She believes that diversity and inclusion needs a new voice for a new generation.

Michelle is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Michigan Law School.  She practiced for two large law firms in New York and Chicago before transitioning into the education field where she has trained thousands in-person and online about racism, bias, equity, belonging, and inclusion.  She is a TedX speaker and the author of Authentic Diversity, How to Change the Workplace for Good.
